Margarita Ríos

Margarita Ríos is a highly accomplished economist, project management professional, and certified food security specialist, boasting over 19 years of experience managing projects across more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Notably, she served two prominent tenures at USAID, first as Deputy Chief of Party for the Food Security Service Center Program and then as Deputy Party Manager for the Technical, Administrative, and Programmatic Support program. Her expertise spans global food security, resilience, climate change, and institutional strengthening. Previously, as Regional Coordinator for the Inter-American Development Bank, Margarita developed and implemented programs promoting trade and innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her expertise also extends to successfully managing USAID-funded programs in Colombia, concentrated on business development, income generation, and employment for vulnerable populations.

His academic background includes a Master's degree in International Development Policy from Duke University, where he developed a strong foundation in public policy research, and business development. Carlos's career has been marked by his work with prominent organizations, including the Inter-American Development Bank and the Organization of American States, where his technical expertise contributed to projects focused on climate finance, water governance, and peacebuilding initiatives.

As the Chief Operating Officer at The Oak E-Commerce, Carlos applies his expertise to drive business growth and innovation, with a focus on trade agreement analysis, digital ecosystem development, and creating sustainable business models that foster economic development.
